Step 1
Right-click on an empty area of your desktop to access the Display Properties

Click on the Settings Tab

In the bottom right of your settings, you will find an Advanced button.
Click this button.
Step 4
This will bring up another window for the advanced settings.
It will open up into the General Tab.
Click on the Monitor Tab.
Step 5
Does your monitor type show
Plug and Play Monitor ?
If it does,Stop.
Close all the open windows by pressing the Cancel buttons.


If it does NOT say Plug and Play Monitor,
or says Unknown Monitor,

Click on the Change... button
and continue to Step 6.

When this box opens,
click Next >
If you do not see this box,
continue anyway.
Step 7
Select Display a list of all drivers.......
Step 8
Choose Standard Monitor Types
then in the list of standard monitors,
choose Plug and Play Monitor.
Click Next > and it will ask you for a location of the driver.
Make sure all the search boxes are NOT checked and then click Next.
This will default Windows to search within itself.
After the driver is found,you will most likely
see a Finish button, and when it is all done,
Windows will probably ask to restart.
